Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson disclosed he came dangerously close to a potentially fatal accident during Sunday's F1 event in Mexico when two marshals ran across the track directly in front of him

The dangerous situation took place on the third rotation when safety workers were seen on the racing surface as Lawson was getting back on the race following an quick visit to the pits to change his broken nose section

Racer's Instant Response

Immediately after, the team's competitor Lawson radioed to his race engineer saying: "Are you kidding me? Could you believe what happened? I could have... killed them"

"I truly couldn't comprehend what I was observing"

"I came out on a fresh hard compound tires, and then I arrived at Turn One and suddenly there were two dudes sprinting across the track"
