Two Individuals Charged with Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder after the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
