Vinicius Jr Issues Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Supporters
The forward has scored 5 goals in 10 domestic competition matches during the current campaign.
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his response when replaced in the recent intense El Clasico victory.
The Brazilian was taken off in the 72nd min and expressed his annoyance by going straight off the pitch.
Vinicius later returned to the sidelines and, after his club's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barça's youngster Yamal during contentious post-match incidents.
"This day I want to express regret to all the supporters for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," he shared on his account.
"Just as I have previously expressed during today's session, I would like to apologise again to my team-mates, the club, and the leadership.
"At times emotion takes over me because I always want to succeed and assist my side. My determined nature stems from the love I have for this institution and everything it represents."
He joined Real from Flamengo in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his career in the Madrid is uncertain with speculation in the past few months suggesting that the club would contemplate letting the 25-year-old leave if they got a good proposal.
When the winger was replaced on Sunday, broadcast footage from broadcaster the service captured him remarking: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his new message on the platform, he said: "I promise to keep striving at all times for the benefit of the club, as I have performed since the very beginning."
